- Age is calculated as of today by default. To get the age on another date, change the “Age on” field.
- Read the result: exact age, totals in months, weeks, days and hours, and the countdown to the next birthday.
FAQ
How is age counted for people born on February 29?
In common years the birthday is treated as February 28: the age goes up on that day and the countdown targets it. Some countries legally use March 1 instead — keep that in mind for official documents.
Why can months and days differ from other calculators?
Months have different lengths. Here a full month counts once the same day of the next month is reached (or the last day of the month if that day does not exist, e.g. the 31st). The remainder is shown in days.
How are hours calculated?
It is the number of calendar days lived multiplied by 24. Time of birth and daylight saving changes are not taken into account.
Can I calculate age on a past or future date?
Yes, change the “Age on” field. If the date of birth is after that date, the calculator shows an error.
