EXIF Viewer and Remover

Smartphone photos often contain the exact GPS location where they were taken, the phone model and the time. Check your photo and save a copy without metadata before sharing it on social media or marketplaces. Everything happens in your browser.

How to use

  1. Select or drag and drop a photo (JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP).
  2. Review the metadata found; if there is GPS data, you can open the location on a map.
  3. Click “Download without EXIF” — the image will be re-saved without metadata.

FAQ

How is the metadata removed?

The image is redrawn on a canvas and saved again: the new file contains only the pixels, with no EXIF, GPS or XMP data.

Will the quality get worse?

JPEG is re-saved at 95% quality, so the difference is practically invisible. PNG is saved losslessly.

Does it support iPhone HEIC photos?

HEIC metadata can be read, but EXIF removal works for formats your browser can display (JPEG, PNG, WebP).
