How PDF merging works without a server
Most traditional online converters upload your files to their servers, process them with tools like Ghostscript or ImageMagick and send the result back. That creates a risk of leaking confidential information (ID documents, contracts, financial reports).
Our tool works on a completely different architecture:
The pdf-lib binary parser runs entirely in your browser’s JavaScript engine (V8, SpiderMonkey, WebKit). Not a single byte of your files is sent over the network.
Pages (page objects, XRef tables and fonts) are copied at the speed of your device’s memory, with no waiting for uploads or downloads.
Vector fonts and embedded images are copied without recompression, so text stays as sharp as in the originals.
