How to use

  1. Type text or paste Morse code: separate letters with a space and words with a slash “/”.
  2. For decoding, pick the alphabet: Latin (International) or Russian Cyrillic — the same signals mean different letters.
  3. Press “Play sound”, adjust the speed (WPM) and tone, optionally turn on the flashing light, then copy the result.

FAQ

How are gaps between letters and words written?

Letters are separated by a single space and words by a “/”. Playback uses standard timing: a dot is 1 unit, a dash 3 units, the gap between letters 3 units and between words 7 units.

Why do I need to choose an alphabet for decoding?

Russian Morse reuses the same signals as Latin Morse — for example “.--” is W in Latin and В in Cyrillic — so a code can only be decoded unambiguously if you know the language. When you type Cyrillic text, the alphabet switches automatically.

How is words per minute (WPM) calculated?

Using the standard PARIS timing: one dot lasts 1.2 / WPM seconds, so at 20 WPM a dot is 60 ms long.

Why is there no sound on my iPhone?

Audio only starts after you tap the button. If the iPhone ring/silent switch is set to silent, the browser may not play web audio — turn it off or use the light flash instead.
