How contract deadlines are counted
Many legal systems and contracts use the same rule: if the last day of a period falls on a non-working day (a weekend or public holiday), the deadline moves to the next working day — for example, Article 193 of the Russian Civil Code and Rule 6(a) of the US Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. This calculator lets you instantly check a deadline while skipping Saturdays and Sundays; always check public holidays and the exact wording of your contract separately.
